Account Manager Commercial Insurance

We are currently seeking an Account Manager to service Commercial Line customers and Agency Producers.   This is a full-time position based in Hockessin, DE.

Responsibilities:

  • Service Commercial Lines accounts as assigned and aid in collections.
  • At the direction of Producer, prepare company submissions for new business quotes and prepare proposals of insurance for new Commercial Lines clients, including visits to clients with producer when requested.
  • Initiate, screen and prepare endorsement requests for Commercial Lines clients.
  • Prepare and process cancellations when required.
  • Set up and prepare new account files per agency procedures.
  • Invoice all Surplus Lines policies and execute premium finance agreements.
  • Maintain suspense items in a timely manner.
  • Keep current on rates, forms and coverage changes through circulars, bulletins, trade publications, seminars and schools offered.
  • Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
  • Maintain all client activity in the agency automation system.
  • Service commercial lines accounts in a manner to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing our E&O exposures.
  • Assist prospects/insureds until a producer is available.
  • Assist claims department in providing coverage information.
  • Keep producers fully informed of all important activities on their accounts.
  • Assist other departments and producers in cross selling and account rounding.
  • Assume other job responsibilities as assigned by Department Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must have all licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency functions.
  • Knowledge of Commercial Insurance and products is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • College degree preferred but willing to consider other related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work in a team environment with different Account Managers/Producers.
  • Good listening and organizational skills and attention to detail are important.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment, working both collaboratively and independently, to meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously.

Customer Support Representative Commercial Insurance

We are currently seeking a full-time Customer Support Representative to service Commercial Line insurance customers and Agency Producers.  This is a full-time position based in Hockessin, DE.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide data entry and administrative support for Commercial Lines Account Managers and Producers as assigned.
  • Check‐in endorsements and/or prepare letter for Account Manager/Producer.
  • Check‐in audits and/or prepare letter for Account Manager/Producer.
  • Check-in renewal policies and/or prepare letter for Account Manager/Producer.
  • Prepare Certificates of Insurance, Evidence of Insurance and Auto ID cards.
  • Prepare Summary of Insurance and Renewal Proposals.
  • Process company downloads and attach to client files.
  • Monitor cancellations and prepare cancellation letters.
  • Set up and prepare new account files per agency procedures.
  • Prioritize work load and/or request for assistance as required.

Requirements

  • Must secure an insurance license within 90 days of employment.
  • College degree preferred but willing to consider other related experience.

Insurance Producer/Sales

Primary Functions:

Sales Position with established Insurance Agency requiring a self-motivated/energetic individual with advanced organizational and communication skills with a proven sales record regardless of field.  Capable of pursuing and closing sales of new commercial lines accounts and retaining a book of commercial lines business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Bring in new business revenues by calling on prospective clients to determine their needs, secure interest in, propose and sell risk management services.
  • Compile lists of prospective clients to provide leads for additional business.
  • Contact and qualify prospective clients, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect’s circumstances.
  • Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy and to suggest additions or changes in insurance program.
  • Be proactive to anticipate future needs and call on established clients to renew and upgrade accounts.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients and underwriters.
  • Promote agency and insurance industry in the community.
  • Keep informed of industry developments through review of trade press and by attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.

*Once hired, training is available and ongoing including working along with a mentor to further develop your skills.

Compensation:

Highly competitive compensation package with unlimited future earnings potential.  Position includes benefits, base salary, excellent commission schedules, and bonus opportunities.
